ANNE DE NANTEUIL

Dans ses deux oeuvres «Sans titre» se superposent la séduction et le danger. Séduction de l’image léchée dans sa réalisation; l’objet en apparence serein contraint le corps et renvoit à l’absolue défense, nécessité contemporaine? Superposition de la transparence et de l’opacité, la chaleur et la froideur.
Le rendu est violent, le geste est canalisé, la violence maitrisée.
A la fois charnelles et expressives, libératrices ou mortuaires, les nuances sont délicates et changeantes selon l’orientation du regard et du corps face à l’oeuvre. Les oeuvres d’Anne de Nanteuil ne font pas mentir Robert Motherwell lorsqu’il écrivait que «l’on ressent une chose magnifique lorsque l’on se rend compte que le médium peut, par lui même, vous transporter».

Her two works «Untitled» stack seduction and danger. On the one hand there is the seduction of a image polished in its execution; on the other hand, the object apparently calm forces the body and refers to the absolute defense, today’s necessity.
A superimposing of transparency and opacity, of heat and cold…
The depiction is violent, the gesture is channeled, the violence under control.
Both sensual and expressive, liberating and mortuary, the shadings are delicate and changing depending on the direction of the look and body considering the work. The works of Anne de Nanteuil do not gainsay what Robert Motherwell wrote: «it feels like a wonderful thing when you realize that the medium can, by itself, thrill you».
